Team's Student Visionaries of the Year Fundraiser
Johnnies for a Cure, led by James Ingle, Joey Nachtrab, and Nico Polizzi, is a student-led fundraising team benefitting the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, the nation’s leader in all things blood cancer. Through research, patient support and advocacy, LLS is changing the lives of blood cancer patients every single day.
With the help of fundraising teams like us, LLS is able to:
- Fund cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that is improving and saving the lives of patients
- Provide free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
- Mobilize thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.
Over the last few months, we have been working tirelessly to prepare for kickoff, and now we are ready to make an incredible impact for countless lives.
The three of us, all juniors at St. John's Jesuit High School, are hard-working students, athletes, and active community members. We have jumped at the opportunity to lead a team for Student Visionaries of the Year, recruiting 16+ committed students from multiple Toledo-area schools, including Ottawa Hills, Anthony Wayne, and St. Ursula. With the combined effort of everyone involved with Johnnies for a Cure, the team is extremely excited for the chance to make a meaningful impact in our world.
Please join us in donating today, as any donation, large or small, takes us one step closer to reaching our goal of winning the national fundraising competition and, more importantly, living in a world without cancer.
Thank you!
